Introducing Tenant Insurance Month at CAPREIT (2023)

June is Tenant Insurance Month, a special campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of tenant insurance.

We are excited to embark on this awareness campaign with our residents, staff, and the wider community, as we strive to create a safer environment for all.

At CAPREIT, we firmly believe in the power of knowledge and preparation. That’s why we are dedicated to highlighting the significance of tenant insurance and encouraging our residents to take proactive steps in safeguarding their homes, belongings, and peace of mind.

Throughout the month of June, we will be sharing valuable insights, real-life stories, and essential information about the benefits of tenant insurance. Our aim is to educate and empower our residents, so they can make informed decisions and protect themselves from unforeseen circumstances.

Why is tenant insurance so important?

Protection for Belongings: Tenant insurance provides coverage for personal belongings, such as furniture, electronics, clothing, and more. In the event of theft, fire, or other covered incidents, having insurance can help replace or repair damaged or lost items.

Liability Coverage: Accidents happen, and as responsible community members, it’s crucial to be prepared. Tenant insurance offers liability coverage, protecting you if you accidentally damage the property, a visitor gets injured while visiting your home, and/or you are found liable for injuries or damages.

Temporary Living Expenses: In the unfortunate event that your CAPREIT home becomes uninhabitable due to a covered incident, tenant insurance can help cover temporary living expenses such as hotel stays or alternative accommodation until your home is restored.

Did You Know?

Residents are not covered under CAPREIT’s insurance policy. If damage happens to you, your unit, or your belongings, you need your own insurance to cover your expenses, alternative temporary accommodations, replacement costs, and other liabilities.

By highlighting these key benefits and sharing real-life stories of how tenant insurance has made a difference, we hope to inspire our residents to take action and protect what matters most to them.

Stay tuned throughout June as we explore the world of tenant insurance. We will share more insights and stories to reinforce the importance of this essential protection.

Through Tenant Insurance Month, we aim to foster a culture of learning, preparedness, and responsibility.

Stay tuned….
